Data Activism for Social Change

Learning, doing, and changing together.

Data Activism Meetups are friendly learning and doing together gatherings organised for you, and by you. Open platform for you to get together to learn and apply Data Science to solve meaningful data problems, hang out, ask questions, share ideas and have great time.

You will learn Data Science and apply it to solve real data challenges of social/charity/humanitarian organizations. Exciting opportunity for us to collaboratively engage with each other, the community and issues we care about, and our world. This is our collective action to bring social change and support humanitarian causes we care about. Let's do stuff that has a real impact and creates real value that benefits people in human terms. Why? Because apathy sucks.

Connect, learn, collaborate and co-create meaningful and shared value using Data Science.

Want to organize a Data Activism Meetup in your area?

You can start Data Activism Meetups anywhere in the world. If you do not see any scheduled in your area, think about organizing one yourself. We all know that social change never rolls in on the wheels of inevitability; it comes through the tireless efforts of common people working together.

Show your interest.

Go to Data Activism Meetup page, where you will be displayed a list of the nearest Meetups to you. Find the city near you , go to it’s page and show your interest. If your city isn't listed, then it’s your social responsibility to add it.

Get talking to set up your camp.

Start communicating with each other on the event page, select the style of Meetup (Algorithms or Class Interval), coordinate where and when to meet, and decide on an organizer.

Confirm the Meetup.

Once the venue, time and other details are agreed, the organizer can edit the event details and confirm it. When Meetup is confirmed, get in touch with us and we’ll send you Group Study Pack or SAC details and also help you get the word out.
